AHRMA 2011 Southeast Awards Banquet

The 2011 Southeast Awards banquet will be held on January 28, 2012 at The Inn at Chateau Elan, 100 Rue Charlemagne, Braselton, GA 30517. (Exit 126 off I-85)

Awards for motocross, cross country, trials, and dirt track will be presented.

Time: 12:00 pm (noon) Cost: $25.00 per person, payable at the door to Beno Rodi.

January Meeting Report

Club Secretary B. J. Huff reported the following important results from club's January meeting:

New officers were elected:index

Congratulations to the new officers and thank you for serving.

Dates were set for the 2012 Aonia Pass Race Schedule:

• Feb 25
• April 14
• September 22 National ST
• November 9/10/11 Classic Premier

We will have Trials, CC, Mx, ST and TT on each date.  We decided to try to have a night enduro on the Friday night of each weekend except for the February race due to the cold.

We will have a "Fun Day" at Aonia Pass on Saturday, January 14th.  On this day we hope to have all interested members come out to Aonia to learn how we set up for the different events including Trials, CC, Mx, ST and TT.  We hope this will empower more people to feel comfortable with more of the Volunteer responsibilities.  After the educational portion of the day we will then have fun with different rides and some impromptu racing.  No points, no trophies, just fun!  AMC members are free and all others can ride all day for $20.

Directions from Atlanta:

• Take I85 North to Hwy 316 East
• Travel approx. 20 miles and take a Left on Hwy 81 North (Loganville Hwy)
• Travel approx. 4 miles and take a Right on Hwy 8 (May  Street) in downtown Winder
• Travel approx. 2 miles and take a left onto Midland Ave
• Take an immediate Right onto Cliff Day Road
• Cliff Day becomes Ronald Wood Road at the first Stop Sign
• The airport is on the right and the restaurant is in the main airport building on the first floor.

The business meeting starts at 7:30pm.  Many of us gather earlier (starting at around 6:30) to eat and visit.
