September 22, 2007
by Donna Goman
The Atlanta Motorcycle Club had a club ride in Ellijay on Saturday, September 22, 2007 with 3 members and one guest participating: Charles Goman, David Barr, Mike Barr, and Donna Goman.
We had a beautiful trip across Burnt Mountain, with a stop for a look at the scenery at one of the overlooks off of Hwy 136, then we encountered a few low lying clouds, cold! Then we headed back toward Ellijay on Hwy 52, took a short drive on dirt part of Old Northcutt Road, going through the train trestle. We had a wonderful lunch at Pink Pig in Cherry Log, Ga. Then we rode Lucius Rd, which in some parts there is lush overgrowth making for a cool ride, then Boardtown road back into Ellijay. The round trip was approximately 75 miles.
The club members stated that they would enjoy another ride soon in Ellijay.
P.S. No animals were hurt during this trip (ha ha).
